Joyce Wooding, a 110-year-old woman from Northampton, UK, has described the activities outside the home and the use of fresh food as the secret to a long and healthy life.

The woman celebrated her 110th birthday on September 6 at Cooling Tree Park Care Home in Northampton. "Sometimes they realize I'm too old and when your parents are gone, your family members are gone, most of the friends are gone, it's really clear that life is too long," she said. 

Joyce Wooding, 110, born in 1911, the year of George V's coronation, is one of the 10 oldest people in Britain. The oldest person in Britain is Molly Walker, 112, of Oxfordshire.

She has received 7 birthday cards from the queen so far, one on his 100th birthday and the other on his 105th birthday, after which he now receives a birthday card from the queen every year.

Wooding had a sister and two brothers. He says he has truly enjoyed rural life. They grew up in Stuart, a village in Northamptonshire. My parents were the best parents you could ever want," he said. My father was a farmer and we used to feed our home-grown food on our pork and chickens. We also had a big garden,she said. ا

We didn't spend time sitting at the computer, we spent most of our time outside the home. We didn't have a takeaway era, we grew up using the best food," he said. She said she was very young during World War I but remembers World War II.

"We used to work as street wardens and look for bombs in tin cans and go around the streets to see if there were any bombs," he said. We could hear the roar of planes in the sky. She was married in 1946 to an industrialist from Northampton.
